Show Overview:
The Rumble was overall very exciting. WWE may have just gotten its “Swagger”back(no not you jack).There were alot of interesting things that went on at the Rumble and i will break them down match by match. Ok here we go:

Swagger vs Matt Hardy: This match was a decent start to the PPV. Jack Swagger,love him or hate him is a pure athlete. Swagger used wrestling holds such as armbars and takedowns to get the advantage on Hardy who was nursing his injured arm.Hardy went for a Twist of Fate early, but Swagger countered.Hardy fought a hard match but in the end, like i predicted Swagger was too much.

Melina vs Beth Phoenix: Melina came out flashy and cute as ever.The match was pretty physical(for ladies match). The Glamazon punished Melina throughout the match. Melina had to use her quickness to stay in this match. Santino played a great cheerleader on the sideline(Hey some cheerleaders have uni-brows). Phoenix at one point had Melina in a half crab and bent Melinas leg so far back, she actually used Melinas foot against her, ramming it into the back of her(Melina) head. Melina stuck with it and Phoenix didnt have the heart that Melina had. Melina pulled the upset(Like i said she would) by a roll up right in front of Santino, for the 1,2,3!

Segment-(backstage)-JBL in the locker room with shawn. Layfield telling shawn that he will pay him at the end of the night and it will all be over. He assures Shawn that if he retains the title that Shawn will get in the Royal Rumble. JBL walks off, HBK standing alone in deep thought. Looks up and theres Undertaker(great crowd response). The Phenom simply looks at Shawn and utters some advice. Taker then says “Sometimes its Hell to get to Heaven”.

John Cena vs JBL(with HBK): Cena comes out to a decent ovation. As i scanned the crowd i noticed a sign that had a heart next to “JBL” and it read Huge Butt Kisser(HBK).The match was awesome to say the least. It was classic Cena, and by all means typical JBL. They brawled on the outside and JBL went to clothesline Cena and he ducked and was in front of Michaels. Cena stopped and JBL attacked him from behind.JBL at one point threw Cena into the steps and it was a loud thud.JBL threw Cena back into the ring and got a nearfall. HBK seemed very patiently waiting at ringside.Cena nailed the 5 knuckle shuffle and went for the F-U,but JBL countered with a poke to the eye(how 80′s whooooo).Big Boot, followed by attempted clothesline from hell by JBL,Cena drop toe hold into the STF-U. Micheals watches and grabs the rope(but did not push it) and Cena lets go,gets up and kicks at HBK(for what reason?).Clothesline from hell, cover by JBL, 1…2….kickout!.F-U attempt again, JBL countered, went for a big boot, misses and kicks referee. Both men tired double clothesline.All 3 men down, HBK gets up on apron, Contemplates Sweet Chin Music, Both JBL and Cena get to their feet. JBL urges Michaels to kick Cena, Shawn kicks JBL. Cena smiles and looks confused, HBK kicks Cena. Shawn stands there and looks at both men, puts JBL on top of Cena. Minutes Pass, Ref runs down, counts 1….2….Kickout! JBL grabs Cenas arm when he gets up and attempts a clothesline from Hell, Cena counters F-U. Cena covers for the pinfall. What A Match!

Hardy vs Edge Package shown

Jeff Hardy vs. Edge: Wow how do u follow up a Cena vs JBL match for the title? You take “The Rated-R” Superstar and put him in the ring with the “enigmatic” Jeff Hardy. This match was pretty physical. It went pack and forth. Quite a few near-falls. Jeff actually did a Twist of Fate to Edge on the ring apron at one point. High Flying Jeff as usual. Hardy as the match was breaking down, pulled out a ladder and laid Edge across the announcers table. Chavito interfered and Edge got to safety. Hardy dives onto Chavo and then throws Edge into the ring post. Hardy then puts Chavo on the announcers table, goes to the top and dives(though he slipped) onto Chavo through the announcers table.Hardy back in the ring with Edge(minutes later) hits a cross body and gets a nearfall. Edge exposed the turnbuckle. Jeff hits “Whisper in the wind” on Edge, 1…..2…kickout! Twist of Fate, countered into the Edgecution, Hardy then cradles Edge for a nearfall. Edge drops Hardy on the Exposed steel, covers Hardy for a nearfall. Edge goes for the spear, Hardy catches it for the twist of fate. Hardy climbs the turnbuckle to Swan tan,Vickie grabs his ankle, Hardy kicks her. Jeff Swanton Bomb, 1….2….Vickie pulls referee out. Crowd errupts, Matt Hardy comes down with a chair. Matt hands chair to Jeff to set up for Con-chairto. Jeff lays Edge’s face on top of the chair. Matt goes to hit Edge but turns to Jeff and Hits him with the Chair! A stunned Edge looks up and casually watches Matt as he pins Jeff to win the WWE title. What a Match!
