Attaboy Factor

Published January 12th, 2009 in Columns

Welcome wrestling fans to The first ever “Attaboy Factor”. And one might ask, “What is a Attaboy Factor?”. Well its the creme de le creme of wrestling columns. What i have assembled are my thoughts on pro wrestling. I have been a avid fan of pro wrestling for over 20 years, so yeah my passion for the business is long. Over the next few weeks, months, who knows maybe years?. I will run with this as long as Wrestlingdotcom.com will let me run with it.

Lets start off with Monday Night Raw. Tonight looks to be a great show. I look forward to the Wrestlemania type main event, With Cena vs. Michaels. I really dont like the way Shawn Michaels has been used in the storyline in months of recent. Here we have Shawn Michaels The Icon,The Showstopper,The Main Event, Mr. Wrestlemania, being used as a puppet for John Bradshaw Layfield. I grew up watching Bradshaw, and in my honest opinion he never shoulda got a shot at any kinda title. He shoulda stuck to bar brawls and protecting Crash Holly. With the Royal Rumble just around the corner, i cant help but wonder whats gonna happen, but i will be posting my predictions on here as well as my personal myspace, www.myspace.com/attaboycolum.
Legend Killer Legend Killer, Randy Orton is here. I really like the way Orton has been used since he came to WWE. Randy is the future of the business, and a brand such as Raw or Smackdown, could build their show around him. Orton has the mic skills and the ring talent of a Early 90′s HBK. Hes cocky, arrogant and when it comes down to it, he gets the job done. Kane on the other hand, has one WWE title reign in his run(which includes his Issac Yankem days, and Diesel like days). Orton will get the victory tonight, look for interference, probably from Snuka, to prove his worth to Ortons new group. I am upset to see WWEs release of D’Lo Brown. I really thought they could do more with Brown. D’Lo when he came back, was getting cheers, then did dark matches and dissapeared. I really sometimes wonder what the WWE is thinking.

Now on to TNA. Christian Cage, where are you?? Christian has been gone since being laid out by the NWooo….oops i meant the Main Event Mafia. Does anyone feel like i do? Does the Mafia remind you of your 85 year old grandma and her bingo mates on a thursday night? I mean come on now, The whole faction thing burnt out a long time ago. it was cool in the 90s but what year is it? Oh yeah its 2009. Booker T, really thinks hes Al Capone. Sting is still in decent shape, but come on now, hang it up. Scott Steiner has been garbage for a while now. Nash got more grey hair then my dad. Come on guys your all in your 40s. Can you find another past time, other then boring us with your lame humor and non-wrestling skills? I really think that Angle is the only one capable of wrestling a full schedule. I have to agree with what angle said about Jarrett and the company. If Jeffs dad didnt start the company, would he have so many title shots? Thats some food for thought.

Well thats it for today folks, That was the Monday Meltdown. I will be back in a few days with Smackdown thoughts, and maybe a ECW paragraph, but when you only have a hour show, not a lot to write about. Any thoughts or Comments, email me ( attaboycolumn@yahoo.com)
