– According to Jeremy, a spokesman for Jakks Pacific, they have plans to release a Giant Gonzalez action figure with fur in the future. Production will be limited to 500, so it will be pretty rare. During his time in WWE in 1993, Gonzalez wore a bizarre full-body suit that featured airbrushed muscles with bushy hair attached. Jakks has released a Classics action figure on Gonzalez in the past, but it didn’t have fur.

ABCactionnews.com has posted some video footage of Hulk and Linda Hogan visiting their son Nick in prison on Sunday afternoon. Due to the fact that the prison staff felt Hulk and Linda’s presence would cause a commotion, they got the entire visitation room to themselves.

The Watertown Daily Times has an article up on Kresten F. Ericksen pleading guilty to charges of forgery after signing the name of Joe Pelkofski, a WWE live-event marketing representative, on a receipt for $8,000 for funds that should have gone towards reimbursing the company for a June 2006 event but instead went among the missing.

Following his Wellness policy violation, 60 day suspension and his North Carolina home burning down, Jeff Hardy is said to be in better spirits, motivated, and in good physical shape.

Jeff is now back with WWE full time and will be traveling with the company effective immediately.

Sources close to Hardy say the fire served as a wake up call and made him realise what he has with World Wrestling Entertainment and ultimately has made him more appreciative of his career. A friend close to Hardy also suggested he realized his recent mistakes were of his own doing and that he has shown maturity in realizing that.

Friends of Jeff confirm that he is planning to build a new house on the same property and has been looking at blue prints.

It’s interesting to note that even though this was the second time Hardy violated WWE’s Wellness Policy, he did not spend any time in a rehab facility.

TNA iMPACT! Results for this Thursday 5/15/08:

* TNA champion Samoa Joe comes out and announces the main event of the 6/8 Slammiversary PPV will be the King of the Mountain match. Joe says that there will be eight competitors total including himself - Jim Cornette has told him he will pick four challengers and Joe will get to pick the rest. Cornette has picked Robert Roode, Matt Morgan, James Storm and Tomko. Joe says he will name the other challengers next week. Booker T comes out and demands to know why wasn’t picked and tells Joe that if Joe doesn’t pick him, there will be serious consequences. Booker slaps Joe and they brawl. Christian Cage and Rhino hit the ring. Booker challenges them to a match later tonight and says he’ll find partners.

* Kaz & Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt defeated Johnny Devine & The Rock N’ Rave Infection. After the match, Lethal asks So Cal Val to marry him at Slammiversary and she accepts. Sonjay didn’t look happy and had some great facial expressions here.

* TNA Knockouts champion Awesome Kong defeated Gail Kim with the help of Angelina Love.

* Kurt Angle came out and read a letter to Karen asking to take him back and said he hoped she would come to Impact next week.

* TNA Tag Team champions LAX defeated The Motor City Machineguns in a non-title bout.

* Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, now given the team name “The Beautiful People” defeated ODB and Roxxi.

* TNA champ Samoa Joe & Christian Cage & Rhino defeated Team 3D & Booker T. After the match, 3D attacked and bloodied Hector Guerrero.

Mickie James def. Beth Phoenix with same maneuver she won the belt with in London a
few weeks back. Beth dominated most of the match with lots of suplexes. Both
ladies looked awesome.

ECW Championship

Kane def. Chavo Guerrero with a chokeslam in a no DQ match. Best match of the
night. Lots of outside interference from Bam Neely. Chavo had microphone cord
wrapped around Kane’s neck for part of the match. Lots of outside the ring work too
involving the steps. Kane also had his knees rammed into the ring post a few times
by Neely. Kane was way over with the fans.

Main Event: Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels def. JBL and William Regal Not a bad
match. HBK had his “injured” knee worked over real well by JBL and Regal. JBL
worked the crowd over nicely prior to the match. Said the automobile industry was a
joke, crowd was a bunch of idiots, and the Detroit sports teams are terrible. Got
some good heat. Jericho and HBK shook hands with the fans after the match going
around the ring.

Not a bad show but where was Umaga? Trips? Kennedy? Carlito? Orton? I realize
Cena is still doing the movie and Hardy is suspended, but disappointing nonetheless.

Mickie James def. Beth Phoenix to retain the Women’s Championship belt

JBL came out and cut a tremendous heel promo. He acted like he was breaking
kayfabe by saying he was not trying to generate cheap heat, not trying to get us
to boo him. He just really didn’t want to be here. He then ripped on Michigan men,
saying he would stick around to beat our asses after the match. He talked about
his good friend from New York Derek Jeter (who is from Kalamazoo), and how he
doesn’t even like people from here. That’s why he’s never donated even one dollar
to the area baseball programs, etc. A truly blazing heel promo that lasted about
6-8 minutes.

The main event was supposed to be Chris Jericho vs. JBL. “King” William Regal came
out, informing Y2J that he did not like him, and he was making the match a
handicap match, Y2J vs. JBL & Umaga. About 15 seconds after Regal left, Shawn
Michaels’ music hit to the biggest pop of the night. He hit the ring, grabbed a
mic, and said to Y2J that he just saw Steven Regal leave. Jericho said something
to Shawn under his breath, to which Shawn replied, “His name’s William? It’s not
Steven? Oh, well anyway, he’s gone. Are you guys (pointing to Y2J, JBL, and Umaga)
having a wrestling match? What is this, two-on-one? What do you say we make it
two-on-two?”

It was a great match. Lots of back and forth, hot tags, high spots, etc. Shawn was
still selling the left knee injury from Backlash, but he managed to get the win
with Sweet Chin Music on Umaga, then he hit JBL with it post-match.

Both Y2J and HBK stayed around for about 15 minutes shaking hands with everyone on
the rail around ringside and both sides of the aisle. Both class acts, and Y2J
seemed thrilled to be tagging with HBK.

Impact Spoiler Report for 5/22:

-Homicide defeated Brother Ray by DQ. Brother Devon ran in to break it up. They started beating down Homicide until Hernandez ran in. Booker T then came out and Booker and 3D beat down LAX putting Homicide through a table and leaving both bleeding.

-Angelina Love defeated. ODB with some help from Velvet Sky. Afterwards they teased they were going to cut ODB’s hair until Roxxi made the save. Roxxi was going to try to cut Angelina’s hair until the referee took the machine away from hair. Roxxi then laid out Rudy Charles.

-Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash come to the ring and Joe announces the 4 people he chose. (I was mistaken yesterday and it is not an 8 man King of the Mountain match, it will be 4 and 8 were chosen to be in qualifying matches, sorry about the error). Jim Cornette picked 4 and Joe gets to pick the other 4. Cornette picked Tomko, James Storm, Robert Roode, and Matt Morgan) Joe then announces his picks, a man he faced all over the world and in different companies, AJ Styles. He also picks Rhino, Christian Cage, and Booker T. Nash was upset that he wasn’t picked since fans were chanting for him and he gives Joe a piece of his mind, then leaves the ring.

-King of the Mountain Qualifying Match: Robert Roode defeated Matt Morgan with his feet on the ropes.

-Kurt Angle comes to the ring and he brings out Karen to see if she will take him back. Angle says that now that Karen knows her role and priorities she should take him back. At one point Kurt asks if she is seeing AJ. Karen says that Kurt will never change and Kurt says he can change and gets on his knees and Karen walks out the ring leaving Angle.

-Jeremy Borash is in the ring and explains the rules of the King of the Mountain match. He is about to introduce the next qualifying match until Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed come out with a briefcase. They issue an open challenge to any female in the crowd who can beat Kong would get $25,000. A plant in the crowd is chosen her name is Melissa ( I believe she is a student from Team 3D’s school). Kong destroys her easily for the win.

-King of the Mountain Qualifying Match: Booker T defeated AJ Styles. Tomko made his way down to the ring during the match, and when AJ went for a springboard Tomko pulled him down allowing Booker to get the win. After the match, Tomko and AJ went at it. Team 3D ran in and they started to beat down AJ. Booker joined in as well. Karen Angle runs down screaming for them to stop as AJ is bleeding. She leaves when Brother Ray shoves her out the ring, only to return with Kurt Angle, who has a steel chair. They clear the ring while Karen is attending to AJ. Brother Ray is yelling at Kurt to turn around and when he does he see’ Karen and AJ. Kurt proceeds to blast AJ with the chair. They continue the beatdown and it ends with the 5 of them posing. I thought it was good with lots of heat.

Xplosion: Motor City def. Black Reign and Rellik.

Show opened with La Familia coming to the ring and discussing that Edge experienced a “medical miracle” last week when he was able to win the Championship Chase and nothing would stop him from winning the title at Judgment Day.

Teddy Long was out next and told Vickie that he was at Titan Towers all day in Stamford after she yelled at him for being late and not returning her calls. He went on to read a statement from the WWE Board of Directors that said Vickie would either need to wrestle in her 1st ever match tonight and be out as GM of Smackdown.

Vickie did more yelling and went on to fire Long for going behind her back. He told her she could not do that and quit. On the way back to the locker room, he told her that The Undertaker would be her opponent tonight.

1. CM Punk over Chuck Palumbo after GTS. Punk was one of the most over wrestlers at the show. Decent little match and surprised to see it end decisively after the GTS.

Vickie, Edge and Chavo tried to cope with what was before them, when MVP, Finlay and Big Show all expressed their gripes with being “used” in the Championship Chase and then making fun of her having to face Undertaker. She said she was still GM tonight and that Show and Finlay would team to face MVP and a partner of his choice.

2. Michelle McCool over Layla when Layla tapped out to an ankle/leg submission. Not bad, not great. McCool did some neat, while sloppy leg work.

3. Big Show and Finlay over MVP and Mark Henry when MVP was pinned by Show following a chokeslam. Good tag match with Finlay being worked over for the body of the match leading to the Show hot tag. Show dominated, but was caught with an Avalanche-type move from Henry that halted him momentarily. Finlay dispatched Henry and MVP charged Show in the corner, while he sold the effects of the Avalanche and was caught by the throat, chokeslammed and pinned.

Chavo told Vickie and Edge that there was a way they could make the match they were in tonight work and smiled.

4. Vladimir Kozlov over Funaki

Vickie informed the audience that the main event would now be a 6-on-1 Handicap Match with herself, Edge, Chavo, Bam Neely, Ryder and Hawkins facing The Undertaker.

5. Cherry over Maryse w/ Deuce & Domino

Kofi Kingston and Matt Hardy talked in back. Shelton Benjamin came in and set up a match between he and Hardy, with the idea that he was after the U.S. Title. Hardy made of the only gold Shelton having was his hair!

6. Matt Hardy over Shelton Benjamin after the Twist of Fate. Decent here, with Shelton looking real competitive, but Hardy hitting the Twist of Fate almost out of nowhere for the win.

7. The Undertaker fought Vickie Guerrero, Edge, Zach Ryder and Curt Hawkins to a No Decision.

La Familia all came out together, but as everyone walked (and Vickie was wheeled) to the ring, Chavo and Neely stopped short and returned to the back, making it a 4-on-1.

Vickie was in the ring in her wheelchair with Edge and the Edgeheads as her human shield. Taker went right at them and was occupied for the most part by Ryder and Hawkins. Each time he looked to have the advantage, Edge would make it 3-on-1 and neutralize him again.

Finally, Undertaker reversed the momentum of the Edgeheads on an irish whip attempt and sent them outside the ring. He then gave a big boot to Edge and he was out. He turned his attention to Vickie and went to deliver a chokeslam. As he hoisted and held her by the throat, he turned and was met with an Edge spear. Vickie was saved and everyone retreated up the ramp. The referee jumped out of the ring and Taker did the throat slash to seemingly end the taping.

Taker then got down with his back to his foes and they returned to get an advantage again, with Vickie at the top of the ramp. Kane’s music hit and he wheeled her to the ring. He and Taker took out their foes and Taker was eventually able to Tombstone Vickie to a huge response.

Taker left the ring while Vickie sold and Teddy Long came out and tried to get Kane to dance. He was successful and then Mick Foley and Michael Cole joined the mix while the fans ate it up and went home happy.

The advertised main event was Undertaker and Kane v. Edge and Chavo - but I can see why they did not run that. Not one person on the way out of the arena seemed slighted.
