A new report out today from various sources are under the impression that recently released TNA Knockout Angelina Love (Lauren Williams) will be at the WWE Monday Night RAW taping in Toronto, Ontario, Canada September 14th. Love resides in Toronto and was under a WWE developmental deal from 2004 to 2007.
Love, who released by TNA last week over work VISA issues is only expected to attend the show and not actually wrestle. It should be noted that Love’s previous contract with TNA was about close to expiring and there was a fear internally within TNA that she would try to negotiate with the WWE since she hadn’t signed a new contract with TNA. The WWE did get Love a working VISA when she was under a developmental in the Deep South and Ohio Valley Wrestling territories before the WWE released her in May 2007. This move was questioned by WWE Management after The Beautiful People became one of the top female heel acts in TNA, wrestling in general, and a huge ratings draw each week on IMPACT.
The reports from TNA is when the company realized how much trouble they could be in for using Love illegally for the last two years without the proper working documents, TNA president Dixie Carter made the quick decision to release her and made it seem as if she had just learned of the issues and released her to avoid any legal issues from Immigration, which is surprising to some that TNA would not have had knowledge of her working VISA situation. From initial reports, TNA never applied for a VISA for Love. Other sources indicate that it is possible the government could try and make things difficult for Love such as being banned from coming into the U.S. for two years and maybe even up to ten, including making her pay back any salaries for that period she obtained illegally. However, sources and new reports say that is unlikely going to happen.
