In a press conference from the pittsburghchanne.com today, TNA World Champion Kurt Angle said he has been “alone at a hotel” the past two weeks. Angle said the incident with Trenesha Biggers (aka Rhaka Kahn) thus far has not affected his career and stated that TNA has shown their support of him. The website also reports that Angle has been allowed back into his home.
Various Wrestlingdotcom sources are reporting that current WWE Champion Randy Orton said Nick “Eugene” Dinsmore was released from the company as a result of weight issues.
The Baltimore Sun quoted Orton as saying, “Eugene was just given a second chance…he came back two weeks ago and came in a little heavy from where [management] wanted him to come in.” Orton said he was upset that Dinsmore returned to the WWE out of shape after he pulled some strings with the company to get him his old job back. “Nick is a good friend of mine. I pulled some strings to get his job back and he comes back all overweight,” Orton said. “So all in all, I am a little upset with right now with him.”
Bobby Lashley is expected to wrestle his first singles matches for TNA this weekend. Lashley will face off with Eric Young at Friday’s TNA house show in San Angelo, Texas, then wrestle Sheik Abdul Bashir Saturday in Abilene and and Eric Young again on Sunday in Belton.
