Reports have surfaced that there have been wrestlers within TNA who have recently gone to company President Dixie Carter recently and brought up the idea of hiring either Paul Heyman or Gabe Sapolsky as the new booker for TNA given the situation with Jeff Jarrett. It is believed that Carter said the company was looking at going in a different direction and wanted a writer with more of a Hollywood writing background.

There are sources indicating that there is said to be lots of cost cutting within Ring of Honor and that pay for some of the wrestlers have also been cut, while other talent were pulled from the last set of Television tapings for the recent August 14th and 15th events that took place in Philadelphia. Some talent were asked to drive longer distances into Philadelphia instead of flying. During the recent shows in Toronto, several talents were flown into Buffalo and then asked to drive to Toronto to save costs. A number of checks began bouncing in recent weeks, but owner Cary Silken made good on all of them. ROH cancelled an event in Boston scheduled for this November, while the event scheduled for Edison, NJ was changed and moved up around the next set of television tapings. It has been stated this event was changed due to the Dragon Gate USA event on November 28th in Philadelphia.
