A new report on the status of Booker T following TNA’s Bound for Glory Pay-Per View is that TNA will not be renewing his contract once it expires in November. ProWrestling.bet is reporting that TNA President Dixie Carter would have considered re-signing Booker if he changed his attitude, but as it stands right now he is done with the company because he refused to job to Matt Morgan at the last set of IMPACT TV tapings. The creative team booked the stretcher storyline to get him out of the match. WrestleView is reporting that many eyes rolled backstage over the way he acted as he was being stretchered out. One TNA source even added, “He’s been such an a-hole that most people were just happy to see him go.” There is talk that the WWE has interest in bringing Booker back to the company once he is contractually available. It looks at this point, the Main Event Mafia is done and there is some speculation there could be a face turn for Kurt Angle when he shook Morgan’s hand following their match at the PPV.
On a side note, the youth movement in TNA looks to be shaping up as all the younger wrestlers that are not former WWE talent are holding title belts.
