Wrestlingdotcom has learned WXPI in Pittsburgh is reporting that TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle was arrested in Robinson Township on Saturday morning. WXPI reports that Angle’s girlfriend filed a protection from abuse order against Angle which was served at his home on Saturday morning. The identity of the woman has been not be revealed at time, although it was stated she was a TNA wrestler (at this point believed to be Rhaka Khan who Angle had been dating), reported to police that she was at a Starbucks on the internet and claims she saw Angle stalking her. The woman then called 911 and police pulled over Angle in his girlfriend’s car.
The criminal complaint states that Angle was driving on a suspended license and police found a capped syringe and two vials of Hygetropin, also known as HGH in the vehicle. Angle told the police that he had a legal prescription for the drugs. The charges against Angle are as follows: driving while operating privilege is suspended, prohibited acts-possession, harassment, and prohibited acts. Calls to TNA Wrestling were not returned regarding the incident. Angle is still scheduled to wrestle at tomorrow night’s Hard Justice Pay-Per View live from the IMPACT Zone in Orlando, FL where he is to compete in the main event defending his title against Sting and Matt Morgan. It remains to be seen what TNA will do regarding the TNA World Heavyweight Title.
