“In accordance with WWE’s Wellness Program, effective Wednesday, September 2nd, Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) is suspended for 30 days for a violation of the company’s policy.”
With the suspension going into effect this coming Wednesday, it could indicate that Mysterio will more than likely drop the Intercontinental Championship at the SmackDown tapings this coming Tuesday in Cleveland, OH.
According to ProWrestlingEvents.tk, The first edition of Monday Night RAW for 2010 will take place on January 4th in Dayton, Ohio at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Tickets for the show go on sale on September 26th at 10 a.m.
Wrestlingdotcom has learned the word going around within TNA is that Jeff Jarrett is very likely to return soon as an on-air talent soon. Media sources are reporting that most people within TNA believe Jarrett will indeed also retain some of the backstage power he lost when he was sent home following the issues from him dating Karen Angle. Jarrett still has many friends and allies within TNA, but the majority of the locker room along with some office staff are against the idea of bringing Jarrett back. As previously reported, most of the TNA roster sided with Kurt Angle. There is said to be a lot of frustration with TNA president Dixie Carter, since everyone around her told her not to bring Jarrett back but she’s is still considering it. Dixie isn’t revealing anything to anyone, nor is she addressing the situation, which is said to be rubbing some people the wrong way because they feel if they provide their honest thoughts it could haunt them later should Jarrett return. Some sources are saying that the feeling is Jarrett wouldn’t return strictly as a wrestler, and also that the issue/situation is being turned into some kind of fake shoot storyline. Most sources within TNA don’t feel a worked shoot storyline between Angle and Jarrett would increase television ratings or increase pay-per view buys.
