ECW being replaced in three weeks

By : WrestlingDotCom News Posted on

It was officially announced Tuesday night by Vince McMahon that WWE’s ECW brand will be gone in three weeks and a new show will debut in its place on SyFy at the same time each week (10:00pm et/pt). The final episode of ECW will be taped on February 23 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  ECW started on SyFy in June 2006.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE has registered the trademark “NXT” to use for “the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through the media of television.”  The assumption is that this will be the name of the new Tuesday show which is set to debut on March 2 which will be taped in Wichita, Kansas.
