Hulk Hogan made an appearance on the BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9FM KISW in Seattle this morning. Among the highlights of the interview were Hogan’s comments on C.M. Punk and TNA being competition to WWE.
On CM Punk: “Well it’s kind of like the law of attraction; he is probably going to attract more of that negative stuff to his career you know, because if you function on that level then that is probably what you are going to attract. But at the end of the day you know, I was selling out Madison Square Garden while he was still pooping in his diapers. So you are going see what I’m all about, I’m not there to wrestle, I don’t have a contract to wrestle. I’m there to run this company and make it better and give the talent some choice. I’m sure that CM Punk is getting the big push from Vince McMahon but they are paying him basically crumbs, if I know how the way that goes. I’m also giving the fans a choice. So we’ll see who knows this business better, I guess it’s either Hulk Hogan or CM Punk, but I’m here to prove this negative guy that he is wrong.”
On WWE being competition: “When people talk about competition, I don’t want to compete with them. I don’t want to do anything close to what they are doing. I want to put out a better product and if I compete with them, then that means that I’ll try to do something better that they are doing. I’m not into what they are doing at all brother, that is not what this business should be about. You know, not with some female writer in the back telling every male wrestler what to say and how to wrestle. I’m all about the art form and if you don’t have it in your blood, if you can’t pump and you can’t wrestle, pack your stuff up and go to the WWE.”
