WWE Hall of Famer and RAW Color Commentator Jerry “The King” Lawler’s mayoral campaign is now accepting donations at his official campaign website www.jerrylawler2009.com. “Jerry Lawler For Mayor” t-shirts are said to be coming soon. In the future if you make a donation of $100.00 you will receive a shirt, an autographed photo and phone call from Lawler himself.
Matt Hardy says he kept his chronic abdominal injury hidden from the WWE because he says management would have pulled him from active in ring wrestling, and he didn’t want to risk losing the push he had on the ECW brand as champion back in 2008, followed by working the program with brother Jeff this year’s WrestleMania.
Hardy said the following: “It wasn’t very intelligent of me to put the surgery off a couple of years, but I’m also too stubborn to take time away from what I love when things are going great,” Hardy said on his WWE Universe blog. “And just for the record, only two people knew about my condition, as I kept it hidden from WWE officials because I knew they would have pulled me from active duty immediately. Bottom line is this – kids don’t try this at home or do what I always do.”
Hardy posted a picture of his intestines sticking out through his stomach following a ruptured abdomen in his match against Kofi Kingston and MVP two months ago which eventually led to the surgery. Hardy says he was probably over-compensating for the broken hand he suffered at Backlash against Jeff.
