Wrestlingdotcom has learned from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle is now free on bond following his August 15th on charges that he violated a protection of abuse order obtained by his girlfriend Trenesh Biggers (Known as TNA Knockout Rhaka Khan).
On Saturday August 15th at around 7:50 a.m. Angle was arrested in the parking lot of the Giant Eagle Supermarket near a Starbucks where Biggers had gone to use her computer to send emails. The article states that Biggers claims Angle had been stalking her outside of the Starbucks. The reports states that she (Biggers) had told the local police that Angle had abused her physically. She phoned the police when she spotted Angle circling the parking lot of the supermarket.
In addition to violating the protection of abuse, Angle was also arraigned on charges of harassment, possession of HGH and possession of a syringe to use the substance. Angle told police he had a legal prescription for the drug per an affidavit. Police had Angle’s vehicle towed from the scene due to Angle driving with a suspended license that was related with a previous drunk driving arrest.
Angle confirmed with the local police during the traffic stop that he and Biggers had an altercation on the night of August 14th. Angle denied stalking Biggers stating he was looking for a hotel since Biggers barred him from his home following the altercation. Biggers also said to the police that Angle had taken possession of her Blackberry phone and she feared he was erasing text messages and photos that would show the injuries she suffered during their altercation. Police recovered the phone and returned it to Biggers. This Tuesday (August 18th) at 10:00 a.m. EDT, Angle has a preliminary hearing in court room of District Judge Carla Swearingen in Robinson. More details are expected to come from the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette sometime on Sunday. .
At this time, Angle is still expected to be in Orlando for the Hard Justice Pay-Per View to defend his TNA World Title against Sting and Matt Morgan. It should be interesting to see because of these events, as previously stated, what power Jeff Jarrett will have upon his return and if TNA Management will award the TNA Title to either Sting or Morgan based on that could happen with Angle in court on Tuesday. Wrestlingdotcom will do our best to keep you updated as soon as we receive new information.
