WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper entered a not guilty plea in court on July 23rd to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence in Hollywood last month. Piper faces a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine according to reports by TMZ.com
Reports from the Wrestling Observer indicate that in the WWE backstage there are those that are not happy about Jeff Hardy’s decision to take time off while SmackDown is short on main event talent. However, Hardy was praised by WWE Management for his recent performances such as his work ethic on the road and putting CM Punk over. The general feeling is that it is imminent Hardy will take a break, which is why WWE is working hard to push talent like John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler.
