The Tokyo Sports media is reporting a press conference will be held on July 5th to announce that that All Japan Legend and Pro Wrestling NOAH talent Akira Taue is to be named the new President of Pro Wrestling NOAH after the recent death of Mitsuharu Misawa on June 12th, 2009 during a match in the ring.
According to Japanese news sources, Misawa had asked that Taue take over as President if any should ever happen to him. At a meeting this past Tuesday, Top officials for NOAH met on various subjects, including a successor to Misawa. Taue’s name came up and reports are indicating that he has already accepted the position. It has been stated that NOAH has chosen not to make an official announcement until the public memorial for Misawa has taken place, which will be July 4th at the Tokyo Differ Airake.
