Reason For No ECW Championship Match At WrestleMania, Former Divas Spotted

Published April 5th, 2009 in Headlines

source: PWInsider.com

– Regarding plans for the ECW Championship at WrestleMania XXV, well, there aren’t any.

Unless plans change just before the show (or they do a dark match), ECW Champion Jack Swagger will not be defending his belt at tonight’s show.

Vince McMahon lost faith in Swagger after his lackluster outing with Finlay at No Way Out. While McMahon still wants to push him, they don’t feel he’s ready for live television quite yet.

– SportsRadioInterviews.com has a brief interview with Jim Ross. On Vince McMahon, Ross said: “He’s a workaholic. He has no hobbies. He doesn’t play golf, he doesn’t bet the horses, he doesn’t watch Nascar. He is strictly business. He’s a little like Jerry Jones, a little like Steinbrenner…when Steinbrenner was sane. He’s a hands-on guys. Has great vision. He’s a real marketer and I think that’s what he’s done, market a brand and created a brand of a product that had been around forever and kind of re-invented it.”

– Former WWE Diva Sunny appeared at one of the WrestleMania Axxess sessions yesterday signing autographs. She was also spotted sitting by her boyfriend in the back row of the WWE section at the Hall of Fame ceremony last night.

– Former WWE Diva Joy Giovanni was spotted outside the WWE festivities in Houston on Thursday night. She was seen meeting fans and signing autographs
(as was former WWE Diva Nidia). She apparently lives near the area as she paid a visit to her former employer when they were in San Antonio for Raw three weeks ago.
