Reports have surfaced indicating that former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk reportedly upset WWE officials during the company’s overseas tour for not “dressing” properly as a world champion.
A single source has said that The Undertaker had a discussion with Punk in which he attempted to explain nicely that since Punk was a world champion, he represents the company and needed to dress like a champion. Punk was said not be happy with the criticism and immediately made the point that John Cena didn’t “dress like a champion”.
Punk was apparently spoken to at Sunday’s Hell in a Cell PPV. It was believed that Punk felt he was on the same level or as big of a star as John Cena. Reports say therewere two sets of opinions at the PPV regarding the situation. One group had the idea that Punk was going to be beat cleanly and almost be punished to a degree by losing to Undertaker, while the second group felt it didn’t make sense to have Punk drop title to the Undertaker since he wouldn’t be going on the road full time, and that the only logicial reason behind putting the title on Undertaker was because Punk didn’t wear world champion clothing. At this time we understand that the new plan with the Undertaker will be a program with Batista and that creative may have written Punk out of the World Title storylines. More will be clear on what direction the WWE is going with all this during the SmackDown tapings Tuesday night.
