A lot of speculation still remains with TNA Wrestling regarding the firings of Dutch Mantel and Road Agent Savio Vega last week. The belief among a number of people within the company is the firings were to send a message to the “Jeff Jarrett allies.” Wresltingdot.com has learned that TNA President Dixie Carter was the one who made the decision to send Jeff home and not Jeff himself choosing to go after Carter found out Jarrett was seeing Karen Angle despite he had assured her (Carter) the rumors were false. As of right now, most fell Jarrett will survive through the changes and coming changes within TNA, but have a less powerful role within the company. Jarrett is the minority owner and the speculation that Dixie Carter could buy out his stock is said not to be in the picture. There have been closed door interviews with TNA staff and talent bad mouthing Jarrett. Rumors indicate that Kurt Angle threatened to leave the company if Jarrett remained the final say in creative when he comes back. Some of the older talent have been comparing TNA to the last days of WCW before it was purchased by then the WWF.
Jeff Jarrett was scheduled to appear at this weekend’s NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, North Carolina as a vendor guest A sign was posted that he pulled out of the event earlier in the week due a “personal situation.”
