TNA Talent reaction to Hogan/Bischoff

By : WrestlingDotCom News Posted on

In a new report from the Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter, the current attitude from talent regarding Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff is being greeted with a “wait and see.” The expectations from those within the industry is ranging from a short-term contract or to an ownership stake in TNA. It has been reported at one point that Hogan and Bischoff were seeking a stake in ownership during a previous negotiating stint with TNA which was turned down. There appears to be a wide range of emotions from the locker room regarding Hogan. More than one wrestler has expressed concern that TNA will become all about Hogan and friends like Brutus Beefcake and The Nasty Boys. However, other talent has expressed optimism that Hogan and Bischoff could open new doors for the company, such as a new show on Monday nights against WWE RAW. Some wrestlers are excited to be working with Hogan in the ring, even if it means putting him over. The biggest fear with most of the wrestlers is that the company will become like the dying days of WCW, in the fact that older wrestlers receive almost all of the spotlight. Since Hogan signed one TNA source says things have been like a “roller coaster” for the TNA roster. The source stated that it felt like TNA was finally getting their chance to shine when Vince Russo was put in charge of creative and he made it clear he was going through with the youth movement push, which so far is being labeled a success within the company, as Russo has pushed the three names Dixie Carter gave him which is current TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles, Matt Morgan and Hernandez to create into new the marquee names for TNA.
