Source: Wrestling Inc.com – “Rowdy” Roddy Piper was bailed out of jail earlier today on $5000 bond after being arrested in Hollywood early Thursday morning (July 2nd). Piper will have to appear before a court on July 23rd in Los Angeles for his DUI charges.

Source: Wrestling Inc.com – BroadcastingAndCable.com posted an article today (July 2nd) that the FX Network, owned by Fox, wants to get in the cable ratings race and challenge both the USA Network and TNT for the ad-supported cable ratings leadership. The article states without getting a pro wrestling or a sports league, they won’t ever be able to compete.

ProWrestling.net is reporting that the WWE has recently signed Serena Deeb to a contract. This is according to a press release issued by the SHIMMER promotion. The release notes that Deeb debuted for SHIMMER on May 21, 2006. SHIMMER promoter Dave Prazak was quoted as saying the following about Deeb: “Personally speaking, I feel that Serena Deeb is one of the top three female babyface talents in North America today.”

Source: ProWreslting.net – Current TNA star Mick Foley was in attendance at Yankee Stadium on July 1st to see the Yankees vs. the Seattle Mariners. He was shown on the jumbotron in between innings and received a fairly large pop from the fans. The camera then cut to a guy with his own Mr. Socko, which had no crowd reaction. Mick was later named the fan of the game.
