Update on WWE dropping ECW name

By : WrestlingDotCom News Posted on

Talk has resurfaced again about the WWE dropping the ECW name from its Tuesday night SyFy show. According to a report in the Wrestling Observer, the show itself may not actually change, but Syfy has not been happy about the poor ratings for the show. The average ratings have been around 0.9 each week. The idea is to repackage the show and give it another chance under a repackaged format in hopes a change in how the show looks and what it is called will freshen it up and give it a ratings boost. We will keep you posted as we learn more.
