WWE HOF Star died today

By : WrestlingDotCom News Posted on

It is being reported by various news sources that WWE Hall of Famer “Baron” Mikel Scicluna died Sunday March 21 2010 after a battle with cancer. Scicluna retired to Pittsburgh, Pa. after his career ended.  Scicluna was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996 after playing a heel in Vince McMahon, Sr.’s WWWF promotion (now WWE) in the 1960s and ’70s.

There is no word on how old Scicluna was.  Some are reporting he was in his 80′s.

Scicluna’s most high-profile matches were against Bruno Sammartino in Madison Square Garden during the mid-1970s when Sammartino was the top draw and WWWF champion.
