WWE presents The Royal Rumble live on PPV on Sunday, January 25 at 8 PM ET. This event will be broadcast live from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI. If you do not have PPV capability, you can order the show on WWE.com or watch it at a WWE Blast Area.

The Royal Rumble
Rules of the match: This 30-man match starts with two men in the ring. Every 2 minutes another competitor will enter the ring. A wrestler is eliminated from the match when they are thrown over the top rope and both feet land on the floor. The man that wins this match will get a title shot of their choice at WrestleMania 25.
The Competitors: Only 9 of the 30 competitors have been announced.

* RAW Superstars: Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, & Rey Mysterio
* SmackDown Superstars: Big Show, Shelton Benjamin, Triple H, Undertaker, & Vladimir Kozlov
* ECW Superstars: None have been announced

World Heavyweight Championship: Champion John Cena vs. JBL
Events leading to this match: JBL earned this title shot by winning an 8-man tournament that featured all former WWE and World Heavyweight Champions. The millionaire ended the tournament by pinning Shawn Michaels when the cash-strapped Michaels allowed his employer to hit him with the Clothesline from Hell. JBL has announced that Shawn will be in his corner for this match and he also banned Shawn from appearing in the Royal Rumble match.

WWE Championship: Champion Jeff Hardy vs. Edge
Events leading to this match: The morning of The Survivor Series, Jeff was found unconscious due to the attack of an unknown assailant and was taken out of a triple threat match for the title. Edge took Jeff’s place and won the belt. The following month at Armageddon, Jeff won the title in a triple threat match that also featured Edge and Triple H.

Women’s Championship: Champion Beth Phoenix vs. Melina
Events leading to this match: Melina earned this title shot by winning a 6-Diva battle royal on a recent edition of Monday Night RAW. Since returning from a heel injury a few weeks ago, Beth and Melina have had a few altercations that usually ended with Beth’s boyfriend, Santino Marella, injuring his groin.
