WWE Smackdown 6/21/13 Rating + Early Extreme Rules PPV Buys

- Friday’s WWE Smackdown television show drew a 1.71 rating, up from the 1.66 rating the show drew the previous week. Smackdown averaged 2.280 million viewers, up from 2.32 million the prior week.


-Preliminary estimates released by WWE list Extreme Rules as totaling 228,000 buys. The event was headlined by the third Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H match.


Here is the run down from the past couple years of the PPV buy rates & the main events:


-2012 Extreme Rules: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar did 263,000 buys.


-2011 Extreme Rules: Steel Cage Match: John Cena Vs. John Morrison Vs. The Miz (c) did 209,000 buys.


-2010 Extreme Rules: Last Man Standing: John Cena (c) Vs. Batista did 182,000 buys.
